I was born on the 2nd of January 1994. I learned to read at about four, but didn\'t like doing it much then. In fact I hated reading. Unless someone was reading to me. However, I took a strong fancy on movies and TV shows. That is because my granny loves to watch TV!
I spent a lot of time together with her and telly. That fancy never became fainter since then. I still love watching movies. My granddad on the other hand read books and newspapers like mad. There are often movies reviews in newspapers and he would say to granny what is rubbish on TV and what is not. Actually, according to him, EVERYTHING is rubbish on TV. Except the news, of course.
When I had just turned six, I moved from Russia to Scotland. From St.-Petersburg to Glasgow, to be precise. In Glasgow I went to school for the first time. I had no choice but to learn
English. Two years later I moved to Germany. From Glasgow to Potsdam. The choice was again small, I had to learn German. I asked my parents: "And? What is next? Spanish?" They did not answer.

I started to love reading books by myself at the age of 9. I read so much that soon I began to write books. Well... in my head. But I never finished them. Reading and writing books made me think about my future career.
To make the right decision I listed in my head all the things I like to do. I like reading and I like inventing stories and book reviews in my head. Thus I figured out that I would like to become a journalist. And still I love movies! That is why I was happy to learn about the Berlinale Kinderfilmfest.

I think it is difficult for everyone to describe one’s own character. One doesn\'t want to boast. But one doesn\'t want to make a too bad picture of oneself, too. All in all I think that I am funny, since I love to tell jokes, talkative, well read and quite nice because most people say so (but I suppose that everybody thinks that of themselves).
Still I think I\'m a bit special because I\'m trilingual and can act and write articles and good rhyming poems. (At least most people say that my poems are good but maybe they just want to be nice with me.)

I\'m afraid that I\'ve got a nerve problem with scary movies. Movies that involve a lot of blood, corpses and things like that. I wouldn\'t like to see “King Kong”, for example. But I love movies like “Charlie and the Chocolate factory”, “Narnia”, “Harry Potter”, “The Corpse Bride”. . . In short: movies for kids. And love movies for grown-ups. I watch them with my granny!
