“I am looking for my mom. She lost her memory because of the tragedy. She saved me. A rock was going to crush me but she pulled me away. If you don’t believe me I’ll show you my scar.” “Let’s see.” “If you don’t believe me I’m leaving.”
A boy is on the road. He is always talking about his mother. He tells an old woman the story about the mad dogs that tore his mother to pieces. He spins a yarn to the fishermen about her hiding him in a wardrobe before the mudslide buried her. The girl at the waterfall grows suspicious: she's heard such stories somewhere before. If his mother died in so many different ways, what is the boy searching for in the mangrove forests?
This movie is borne by the beautiful scenery of Venezuela, Fantastic insights in a new world that amaze you. Unfortunately, the story is not so amazing. Too drown-out in some parts, to short in others. As many agree, top as a documentary, but flop as a feature film.
