“Grandpa, what’s behind the wall?” “The Great Forest, as far as the eye can see.” “Why aren’t we allowed in?” “It’s a very special forest. It’s full of the strangest of animals.”
Jonathan is furious with his little sister and races after her. Sophie flees through the creaking garden gate – and she’s gone. He follows her trail, which leads to an incredibly large forest. There he finds hopping birds, weather-forecasting frogs and pygmy elks who are overshadowed by one gigantic animal alone – a bear of unheard dimensions, Sophie’s new cuddly toy. Will they be safe with him? Even over-proportioned creatures wind up in danger when eerie co-habitants lure them into fiery pitfalls.
The story behind the movie us very well thought-out and I really liked the accomplishment. The young audience very obviously felt much with the two children in the movie, becaude the images really let you grow into it.
