Before Wienke and I began our interview with Adrian Gronnevik Smith, who plays the part of Lillebror, and Martin Lund, the director, one of the enthusiastic members of the audience named Ben posed a very important question or maybe statement … It was answered by Åsleik Engmark, who plays the voice of Twigson.Did you actually know that sticks can't really get married? Åsleik Engmark: Yes, they can! Sticks most certainly can get married. Where we come from, a pine stick even married a birch stick. Yes! It's really possible! Did you attend school during the filming? Adrian: Well, I'm in the fourth class. But when we were shooting the film I wasn't able to attend school, of course! I had to do homework though, and my teacher kept a very close eye on my work. How long did it take to shoot the film? Martin: Well … in total it took 1 ½ years to make the film. But actually shooting the film with the actors took about 40 days. What was it like for you to play Lillebror again? Adrian: Fantastic! Will there be a third part too? Adrian: Yes! There will be a third part, in which Kneten and Lillebror move to the city and have lots of adventures. Martin: The third film has already been shot and in autumn it will be released in cinemas in Norway. And incidentally, in summer the first part of Twigson will be released in German cinemas. Martin, do you prefer making films for children or for adult audiences? Martin: I don't actually mind whether the film is for children or for adults. The main thing is to make films! My next film will be for an adult audience … but maybe I'll make another children's film after that! Adrian, what do you think of Berlin? Adrian: Berlin is fantastic, and it has so many tourist attractions! And everyone is so hard working here! When did you realize that you'd be making part 2 of Twigson? Martin: Well, there are three original books, but I didn't make the decision because Åsleik Engmark (who does Twigson's voice) made the first film. I then made part 2, and the third film will be made by a different director! Do you feel comfortable standing on a stage in front of so many people as you were earlier? Adrian: Yes! (grins) What have you done during the last few days in Berlin? Martin: Unfortunately we didn't have much time to do much else except show our film and speak to all sorts of people! Which scene in Twigson do you like the most? Martin: My favourite scene is the car-driving scene! Adrian: I like the one where we are running through the woods: "Why are we running, by the way?" "No idea!"… Would you like to be a professional actor when you grow up? Adrian: No. I want to be a footballer! What part did you find was the most difficult to film? Adrian: The scene where Phillip and I are walking through the woods in search of our mother. It was so cold and dark out there. Brrr…
